Theatre
Connecting redemptive stories with the people, resources and opportunities to expand their reach and impact.
ArtiStory Initiative seeks out theatrical works with the potential to make a lasting impact. Some stories are waiting to be brought to the stage. Others are already reaching audiences but have the potential to expand the impact.
ArtiStory Initiative works to connect the dots that help these stories advance.
Through strategic collaboration, project development, production support, and connections with artists, producers, theatres, and other partners, ASi helps identify opportunities and build pathways for meaningful theatrical work to reach more people.
Every project has its own needs and possibilities. Whether advancing a new work toward production or helping an existing production find new audiences, ASi seeks to bring the right people, resources, and opportunities together to move the work forward.

FREDERICK!
The Frederick Douglass Musical
Frederick! is a musical that explores the life, legacy, and enduring message of Frederick Douglass through a vibrant blend of music, storytelling, and performance. Rooted in themes of truth, triumph, and legacy, the production challenges audiences to consider their own role in shaping a better future.
ArtiStory Initiative is helping bring Frederick! to the Marcus Center in Milwaukee in February 2027, connecting the creative vision with the artists, production resources, and funding needed to bring the production to life.
Beyond the upcoming performances, ASi is working to help position the musical for a future that includes broader access and licensing opportunities for schools and theatres.
Looking Beyond the Stage
Theatre can be a powerful vehicle for stories that inspire, challenge, and transform. ASi envisions a future in which more redemptive theatrical works find the partnerships, resources, and opportunities needed to reach audiences beyond their original settings.
That may mean helping a new production take shape, connecting an existing show with new producing partners or theatres, or building pathways toward publication, licensing, and expanded reach.
The goal is simple: help meaningful stories go further.
